CVD polycrystalline diamond
CVD diamonds are diamonds synthesized using chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and the manufacturing methods are broadly categorized into hot filament (thermally excited) and plasma (discharge-excited) processes.
Since it is a 100% carbon diamond produced without binders, it possesses the inherent properties of diamond, such as high hardness, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, electrical insulation, and high thermal conductivity. Furthermore, because it is polycrystalline, there is no need to consider crystal orientation during use.
It can be used for dressers, wire drawing dies, cutting tools, heat dissipation materials (heat sinks), optical lenses, and laser windows.
